About Hud

Hud is building Runtime Intelligence for AI-Native Engineering.

AI raised software throughput, but delivery stability did not follow. Coding now moves at agent speed, while review, merge, deploy, and production verification are still largely manual. Hud is built to overcome that release bottleneck.

Our runtime code sensor captures function-level production behavior and learns a baseline for every function. Hud brings that runtime context into every release: low-risk PRs can be validated against real production evidence, deployments are checked against production baselines, regressions are flagged within minutes, and the evidence needed to fix them is sent directly to AI agents.

Hud is trusted by leading engineering teams including monday.com, Drata, Axonius, Cyera, and others. We’re building toward a world of agentic coding and agentic release – where software can ship fast and ship fearless.

About the Role

This is a customer-facing technical role combining solutions engineering, technical pre-sales, and hands-on implementation.

You will work alongside Account Executives throughout the sales process – from technical discovery and demos through evaluations, integration, and adoption. You’ll help customers understand where Hud fits, prove its value in their environment, remove technical blockers, and move opportunities forward.

Hud gives engineers and AI agents runtime context into how code behaves under real traffic, load, and failures. Our customers often operate complex production environments, so you’ll need enough technical depth to understand their architecture, troubleshoot integrations, and earn the trust of senior engineers.

At the same time, this role is not only about solving technical problems. You’ll help shape evaluations, define success criteria, navigate stakeholders, and connect Hud’s capabilities to the customer’s priorities.

You’ll also bring what you learn in the field back into Product and Engineering, helping us improve the product, demos, integrations, and overall customer experience.

This is an opportunity to join Hud early, help define the Solutions Engineering function, and work with a high-caliber team tackling some of the most interesting challenges emerging from AI-driven software development.

If you enjoy being technical while working closely with customers, sales, product, and engineering, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the technical side of customer opportunities alongside Account Executives

  • Lead technical discovery, demos, deep dives, and customer working sessions

  • Design and run evaluations and proof-of-value processes, including defining and demonstrating success criteria

  • Guide customers through integrating Hud into their applications and environments

  • Troubleshoot technical blockers across code, infrastructure, CI/CD, and production systems

  • Build strong technical relationships and internal champions throughout the sales process

  • Support customers from evaluation through successful deployment and adoption

  • Create reusable demos, playbooks, technical content, and evaluation frameworks

  • Turn recurring customer pain points into product improvements and collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering on how Hud is positioned, sold, and adopted

Why You Should Join

  • High-impact role – Play a critical role in how customers adopt and extract value from Hud

  • Shape the product – Turn real-world production challenges into product capabilities

  • Build from zero to one – Define workflows, playbooks, and systems for this function

  • Work at the frontier of AI + production systems – Help define how production signals power agentic workflows

  • Fast-moving environment – Ship constantly, iterate quickly, and take real ownership

Hard Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, software engineering, field engineering, or technical leadership roles

  • Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to lead technical conversations with both engineers and engineering leaders

  • Strong discovery skills and the ability to connect technical capabilities to customer priorities and business value

  • Experience running technical evaluations, pilots, or proof-of-value processes
Comfortable partnering closely with Account Executives and helping drive opportunities through the sales cycle

  • Strong ownership and judgment, with the ability to proactively identify blockers, stakeholders, risks, and next steps

  • Strong technical fundamentals, with hands-on experience in at least one backend ecosystem such as (Node.js / TypeScript, Python, or Java / JVM)

  • Experience working with production systems and troubleshooting real-world application or infrastructure issues

  • Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases, architectures, and customer environments
Autonomous, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Full-time, on-site role in Tel Aviv

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

Engineering Excellence & Mindset

  • Strong ownership mindset: code quality, reliability, observability, and documentation

  • Bias to action—build fixes, tools, and workarounds rather than only providing guidance

  • Ability to anticipate risks, identify bottlenecks, and drive long-term improvements

  • Comfortable balancing technical trade-offs with product and customer needs

  • Autonomous, proactive, and capable of leading technical initiatives

  • Strong communication skills and comfort in customer-facing environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with observability, performance monitoring, or developer tooling

  • Background in SDKs, instrumentation, or in-process production components

  • Experience designing AI-assisted SDLC workflows (LLM agents, evaluations, guardrails, human-in-the-loop systems)

  • Familiarity with runtime internals (e.g., event loop, GC, JIT, tracing hooks)

  • Experience with APM agents, tracing systems, or telemetry pipelines

  • Exposure to low-overhead instrumentation techniques (sampling, bytecode manipulation, eBPF)

  • Previous customer-facing technical roles such as FDE, Solutions Engineering, or Sales Engineering
